Official Rules

Cal & Donna's Christmas Coin Jar — please read before entering.

1. Sponsor & Participating Stations

   This contest is sponsored by Independence Rock Media Group and runs as a single contest with one prize pool and one winner across all participating stations: KYCT 92.7 FM "The Outlaw," KHEX 100.3 FM "The Outlaw," 100.7 FM "The Outlaw," KBLF 1490 AM, and KRAC 1370 AM.

2. The Prize

   One (1) quart jar filled with U.S. coins — the winner takes the jar and all of its contents, as-is. The exact total value will be determined by a bank coin-counting machine after entries close, as described in Rule 7.

   The winner also receives four (4) tickets and a VIP parking pass to the Penney and Associates Injury Lawyers' luxury suite for the Kings v. Knicks game on Friday, January 8, 2027.

3. How to Enter

   Complete the entry form on this page at indrockmedia.com. Each entry must include your full name, a working phone number, and your guess of the jar's total in dollars and cents. An entry without a guess is not valid. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and listening to any station is not required to enter or win.

4. One Entry Per Phone Number Per Day

   Limit one (1) entry per phone number per day. Duplicate entries submitted under the same phone number are void. A guess cannot be changed after it is submitted, so enter carefully.

5. Entry Period

   Entries open at 12:00 a.m. Pacific on Sunday, November 1, 2026 and close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, November 29, 2026. Entries received before or after this period are void.

6. Eligibility

   Open to legal residents of the participating stations' listening area who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Independence Rock Media Group and participating sponsors, and members of their immediate families and households, are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

7. The Count

   After entries close, the jar's contents will be counted on a bank coin-counting machine, and the count will be recorded. Any bank counting fee is paid by the sponsor and is not deducted from the prize. The machine total is the official amount for determining the winner.

8. How the Winner Is Determined

   The entry whose guess matches the official bank total exactly wins outright. If no entry matches exactly, the winner is the entry whose guess is closest to the official total, measured by absolute difference — a guess may be over or under. In the event of a tie, the sponsor may, at its discretion, break the tie by coin toss or another similar method.

9. Winner Announcement

   The official total will be announced on air first, and the winner announced immediately after, live on the morning show on Monday, November 30, 2026, with Cal and Donna.

10. Notification & Claiming the Prize

    The winner will be notified by phone within 24 hours of the announcement and must confirm acceptance within 48 hours of notification. If the winner cannot be reached or does not confirm in time, the sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries using the same closest-guess method.

11. Taxes

    The winner is responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the prize. If the prize value is $600 or more, the winner must provide a Social Security number so the prize can be reported to the IRS as required by law.

12. Publicity

    By entering, the winner agrees to the announcement of their name on air and its use in station publicity for this contest, except where prohibited by law.

13. General Conditions

    The sponsor's decisions on all matters relating to this contest are final. The sponsor may disqualify any entry that is incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or submitted by automated means, and is not responsible for entries not received due to technical or transmission failures. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
